We can safely steam clean almost any upholstery fabric available today, and make your furniture look almost like new at a fraction of the cost of replacement or re-upholstering. We can restore the beauty and extend the life of your favorite sofa or chair by making them deep-down clean and fresh, bringing back the vibrant color and beauty of almost any upholstered piece.
The Cleaning Process
Step 1: We will pre-inspect your furniture. Even though upholstered furniture uses more types of material and methods of manufacture than carpet, we have the experience necessary to determine the color fastness and stability of the fabric before cleaning. Our technician will also advise you of any possible permanent staining.
Step 2: We will pre-vacuum the upholstery to remove all dry soil contaminants like household dust, dust mites, pollen and dander.
Step 3: Before we proceed with the cleaning, your floors will be protected with an absorbent material to ensure that we do not drip or over spray the furniture as we clean the upholstery.
Step 4: The fabric is pre-sprayed with speical cleaning compounds that are specifically designed for your fabric and soil condition. This will loosen up the soil to make rinsing more effective.
Step 5: The pre-spray will be worked into the fabric using a white towel, hand bonnet or a horsehair brush depending upon the type of upholstery.
Step 6: Once the soil has been loosened, we will thoroughly flush the fabric with specially-designed upholstery extraction tools. This step sanitizes and deodorizes the fabric. The water pressure is tightly regulated so that the fabric does not become over wet.
Step 7: The furniture will be pH neutralized so that there is never a sticky residue left behind. This treatment is applied as a rinse through the machine, or is applied by hand after rinsing, depending upon the soil condition of the fabric.
Step 8: If any spots are not removed during the cleaning process, specialty-spotting techniques are employed. We use written procedures that cover every situation we have ever encountered.
Step 9: The fabric will be dry toweled to absorb moisture and facilitate drying.
Step 10: High-velocity air movers are set in place to speed dry the upholstery so that you will be able to use your furniture soon after we finish.
Step 11: If the fabric has a knap, it will be groomed in one direction using a grooming brush or dry towel to enhance the visual appeal of the fabric.
Step 12: Every piece will be inspected by you alongside our technician. We want to make sure you are satisfied with the job we have done, so we want you to inspect our work. Once you have completed the inspection, we will ask you to indicate your satisfaction by signing the service receipt.
