Why Truck-Mounted Hot Water Steam Extraction Is The Best Carpet Cleaning Method ...

Why is this method best? In a nutshell, truck-mounted hot water steam cleaning deep cleans and sanitizes and can be applied to any carpet with complete safety, leaving the carpet clean from top to bottom. It removes abrasive soil, and it sanitizes your home environment, eliminating dirt, dust, bacteria and most odors.

Gritty soil cuts fibers and greatly reduces carpet life and creates unsightly “traffic lanes.” Truck-mounted hot water steam extraction extends carpet life and substantially reduces wear.

Truck-mounted hot water steam extraction eliminates shampoo residue and restores bounce and color to your carpet. Your carpet stays clean longer by eliminating quick resoiling, dullness and matting common with other cleaning methods or do-it-yourself cleanings.

Although the truck-mounted hot water steam extraction process is the finest cleaning process available, it cannot always make those entry, pivot and high traffic areas look new again. We hope to eliminate misunderstandings and call backs by explaining conditions that cannot be remedied through cleaning such as shading, fading, wear and dye loss. Abrasive soil can cause a condition called shading which creates scratches and pits in the carpet fibers themselves which can permanently dull the fibers’ appearance. Fading is caused from light (incandescent, flourescent and especially direct sunlight) and soil which is slightly acidic which tends to yellow carpets. Wear causes a reduction in pile density or height in high traffic areas as compared to adjacent areas along walls or under furniture. Some stains cause actual dye loss in the fibers of the carpets. The most common to cause dye loss are pet stains and cosmetic stains.

As you can see, not all carpeting can be restored to a “just-like-new condition” but we make it our aim to come as close as we possibly can. Some carpets will develop rippling when damp which is caused by improper installation or the type of backing. Don’t worry, this condition is temporary and the ripples will disappear when the carpet dries completely. Nylon carpet can feel slightly stiff immediately after cleaning. Stiffening is temporary and will disappear after your next thorough vacuuming.

Carpet Restretching and Repair
Carpets that are improperly installed often develop ripples in them which can break down the backing and cause the carpet to wear faster than it should. In addition to wearing out your carpet prematurely, carpet ripples can pose a risk of trip and falls within your home. We can restretch and remove ripples in your carpet or replace any missing pieces that you may have provided you have spare carpet pieces to work with.
